Our online store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services.

You agree not to use our products or services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion, including situations involving suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of our services.

2. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Cook For Friends offers handmade baked goods, including but not limited to:

  • Custom cakes
  • Desserts
  • Tres leches products
  • Baking courses and educational materials

Because our products are handmade, slight variations in appearance, decoration, colour, size, or texture may occur.

Images displayed on our website are examples only and do not guarantee an identical reproduction.

3. FOOD ALLERGIES AND INGREDIENT INFORMATION

Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including but not limited to:

  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Wheat/gluten
  • Nuts
  • Other ingredients used in our kitchen

Customers are responsible for informing themselves about ingredients and potential allergens before purchasing.

Cook For Friends cannot guarantee that products are completely free from allergens.

If you have a severe allergy or dietary restriction, please contact us before placing an order.

4. CUSTOM CAKE ORDERS

Custom cakes require preparation time and planning.

By placing a custom order, you acknowledge that:

  • Designs are created based on the information provided by the customer.
  • Final products may differ slightly from inspiration images.
  • Colour variations may occur due to differences in screens, lighting, and food colouring.
  • Once production has started, changes to the design, size, flavour, or delivery details may not be possible.

We reserve the right to decline custom requests that cannot reasonably be fulfilled.

5. PREORDERS AND AVAILABILITY

Certain products may only be available through preorder.

Preorder quantities may be limited due to production capacity.

Submitting an order does not guarantee availability until payment has been successfully completed and the order has been confirmed by Cook For Friends.

6. PAYMENTS

We accept payments through the methods made available on our website, including:

  • Credit card payments processed through Stripe/Shopify Payments
  • E-transfer
  • Cash payments where applicable

Payment must be completed according to the instructions provided before products are released or prepared.

For custom orders, production may not begin until payment requirements have been satisfied.

7. PICKUP AND DELIVERY

We offer local pickup and delivery options according to availability.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate pickup and delivery information.

Once an order has been delivered or collected:

  • Cook For Friends is no longer responsible for damage caused by improper handling, transportation, storage, or environmental conditions.
  • Customers should follow any storage instructions provided.

For food safety reasons, customers should refrigerate products when required.

8. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Due to the perishable and custom nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns.

Refunds or replacements may be considered only in cases where:

  • The wrong product was provided;
  • The product was damaged before pickup/delivery;
  • There was an error caused by Cook For Friends.

Customers must contact us within a reasonable timeframe after receiving their order and provide relevant information or photos.

Cancellation policies may vary depending on the product and preparation stage.

Once production has started, custom orders may not be refundable.

9. ONLINE COURSES AND DIGITAL PRODUCTS

If you purchase access to one of our online courses:

  • Access is provided digitally after payment confirmation.
  • Course materials are intended for personal educational use only.
  • You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or share course content without written permission.

Because digital products are delivered electronically, refunds may not be available once access has been provided, except where required by applicable law.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and current.

However, errors may occasionally occur, including errors related to pricing, descriptions, availability, or promotions.

We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time.
