Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Cook for Friends, our products are freshly prepared and made specifically for each order. Because our cakes and desserts are perishable food products and often require preparation, decoration, and scheduling in advance, we cannot accept regular returns or exchanges.

Order Cancellations

Cancellations requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery date are eligible for a 30% refund of the total order amount.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery date are not eligible for a refund, as preparation and ingredients may already have been committed to your order.

Order Changes

We understand that plans can change. Requests to modify an order (such as changing flavors, designs, quantities, or delivery details) must be submitted at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery date and are subject to availability.

We cannot guarantee changes to orders once preparation has started.

Damaged, Incorrect, or Quality Issues

Please inspect your order upon pickup or delivery. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or there is an issue with the quality of the product, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order at info@cookforfriends.ca and include photos of the product and details about the issue.

We will review each situation and work with you to find an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

Perishable and Custom Products

Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns of:

  • Cakes
  • Desserts
  • Custom decorated products
  • Other fresh food items

Once an order has been prepared, it cannot be returned or resold.

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, it will be processed through the original payment method. Please note that payment providers and financial institutions may take additional time to complete the refund transaction.
